OK, so I have been doing a lot of street photography recently, this time it was part of a course run by Frui. The course was really interesting and definitely got me to step outside my usual comfort zone, one of the assignments was to approach a stranger and ask if you could take their picture, not something I would usually do as I prefer the candid shots where you do not interact with the subject of the photo. Sadly because of the weather not many people were up for being photographed but it was still a productive day.
The main lesson I learnt is to be more confident in approaching people, if you are polite and geniune most people do not mind being photographed. I think this has helped with a project that I have been toying with for a while now but was not confident in taking the next step, I’ve now started the final stage of the project and will hopefully be able to start sharing it here soon
This is a selection of my favourite images from the day.
